Home care workers will provide care support with:
PERSONAL CARE: support given with personal hygiene, dressing, getting in and out of bed.
DOMESTIC DUTIES: Support given with cooking, cleaning, laundry, collections, shopping.
ESCORT: Support given to escort or accompany service users to the theatre, General outing, or holidays/short breaks.
RESPITE CARE: Provide support for family to have short or long breaks.
OUT-OF-HOUR SERVICE: Provide staff support in the office after office hours (6.00pm to 9.00am) on weekdays, on weekends and public holidays al year round.
SLEEP-IN: Support given over-night according to clients’ needs.
WALKING NIGHT: Support given at night; alert and awake for prompt and active support.
LIVE-IN CARE: Support given by carers living with service users, alternating as need requires.
We provide the following services to our clients according to their needs:
1. 24 – Hour on-call services, providing either relief, temporary, permanent or contract staff.
2. We provide all categories of staff
The attitude and approach towards the provision of care should apply equally to people of all cultures.
However, if staff respond to black and ethnic minority users exactly as they do to everyone else their specific needs may not be met in the most sensitive and appropriate way.
